Swan Hill Wholesalers – Our History

Founded in 1961, originally trading as Scown and Standen, we began as a rabbit distribution service operating between Swan Hill and Melbourne, based in Beveridge Street, Swan Hill.

In 1979, with a relocation and rebrand to Swan Hill Wholesalers, new ownership brought expansion and fresh opportunities.
In 2010, the business again welcomed new and current owners, and by 2020 we had moved into a larger, purpose-built facility on Karinie Street to better service our customers.

Our Products & Services
Today, we stock over 3,500 products, ranging from frozen, chilled, and ambient foods to cleaning supplies, packaging, kitchen appliances, and stationery. We are a true one-stop shop for the food industry.

We employ local staff who are highly trained in food service, working across logistics, sales, administration, and management. Our motivated and experienced team is committed to ensuring every customer’s needs are met.

Our Distribution
Our modern distribution fleet features temperature-zone vehicles with separate frozen, chilled, and dry compartments, ensuring product integrity from warehouse to customer. We proudly service more than 40 towns and regions across Victoria and New South Wales.
